The publication

An issue to read. An idea to work with.

Engineering Notes is an upcoming independent technical magazine written by Luca Sepe. Each issue is a self-contained technical ebook, focused on understanding how software systems behave and why engineering decisions matter.

Volume 01 is a finite collection of six digital issues, published every two months throughout 2027. The first issue is scheduled for January 2027.

The planned offer is a one-time purchase of the complete 2027 volume, with issues delivered progressively. It is not a recurring subscription and does not renew automatically.

Inside each issue

  • Technical depth: Detailed explanations of engineering concepts and system behavior.
  • Architecture and sequence diagrams: Visual explanations of components and interactions.
  • Practical code examples: Concrete examples that connect design decisions to implementation.
  • Production perspective: Real-world scenarios, failure modes and design trade-offs.
